On the last week of my project at the moment, then on Saturday John and I move into our new flat! I can't wait! I'm looking forward to just being in OUR space... yay.
Spent the day mostly just sitting here trying to edit and the like.
John has made a new page for Danny. Went to see him at the Store last night with my mum, it was great, he was hilarious, I was really proud. My mum thought he was great too.
Anyhoo, I stink right now (I've been eating a lot of salad recently, and let's just say, you can tell)... so I'm going...

Well hello there!
I am BACK from Edinburgh - it was a great ride, I enjoyed it far more than I expected. I am currently at Johns chilling and trying to avoid the real world for a bit longer... (I start a project tomrorow that I need to finish the planning for)...John has gone in search of food that he will make, aw, and I am trying to catch up with things... when I get home I am planning to get some footage online of the shows and pictures and stuff, so look out for that :D

Day Five... Ben arrived today, and watched the show with one of the Stand Players (their improv troupe) a little pressue maybe I could have done without... I was more relaxed and happier today, so I think my reffing went better for it.

After the match we all headed over to the Hastily Prepared Improv Show... where Chris and I were guest players. It wasn't greatly attended and there did seem to be a bit of a 'well can't anyone do it' attitude to improv in the area... having said that, I enjoyed it. I don't do a whole lot of improv, believe it or not, I get very self concious so I tend to ref or teach instead... so it was nice to strutt my stuff a bit, my ego took over when I was asked for once, rather than my lack of confidence ;)

I even played a sexy character for a short time, rock on me!

Sat in our venue right now on the computer here... good times. Show went great, got some nice snaps of our newly kilted ref! hehe... not me.
Ben joins us tomorrow, yay.
Saw an amazing musical improv! Well worth seeing - damn those yanks - I think they are all born with improv skillz!

In edinburgh at the moment, on day four of the run (I missed day one where I was in Stockton doing a show there with John, Lou and James). Last three days kept getting better and better, which is great, been full every day, and Chris's show has been going great too. Hopefully this will continue - but who knows, people are fickle.
Sat in the Fringe performers area which is pretty cool :D
I am tired
and my throat hurts.
But things are good.
Saw Richard Herring last night, he was faaaab, watched Marcus Brigstocke this morning, that was pretty good. Not watched much stuff really to be honest, just not got time, or at least it feels that way.

Our new CSz banner is sexy!
Anyhoo, going to go out and help flier again in a minute - want to keep those audiences up...
Will do a full report wheh I get back :D

Weather much better today, but I carried my brolly everywhere just incase. Was my first day flyering - something I HATED doing with the Theatre, but I think I got into my stride a bit. Daisy was the master though, it has to be said, people just wanted to listen to what she had to say - rock! I was cursing myself for forgetting the mints... wanted to hand them out. Let Rach 'ref' the street show, think she scared a few 'punters' to be honest.
I decided to play today too, and I really enjoyed myself!

Chris rocked the house reffing, of course. He's still a bit over chatty, but he's getting there.

Smaller house today, but we remembered to pass the hat and made about £20, nice. All the money we make is going into the petrol and food costs for the week, and any left over is paying the company back for the ridiculous cost of putting an ad in the brochure!

First day in Edinburgh - RAIN RAIN RAIN! I was really gutted when I got here to find such dingy miserable weather. I must admit it clouded my mood. I went straight from arriving with Chris Roche, to meeting the gang on the royal mile, in the rain, leafletting and trying to gather a crowd to do a show on the outside stage there... not much luck.
So my foul mood stretched to the venue, where i got a bad tummy ache (my stomach really hasn't been the same since that nasty bout in America) and proceeded to ref the show in a mood. The show was OK, but not great. It was great to see everyone play together though, and this was the first time I'd really seen the one and only Tom Roche play... and he was great! Can only get better really....

Think the crowd enjoyed it - and we forgot to pass the hat! Which was also forgotten the day before...

The rest of the evening still saw me being generally moody, which resulted in me and Chris having a bit of a row, so we stayed up til 3am sorting it out... we are much better since that... we are great at winding each other up though, which isn't actually great at all.

Stockton Festival!

While the rest of my troupe were all in Edinburgh myself, Lou, John and James (he took part in our workshops for a good long while and has done loads of improv so I roped him in) did a show in Stockton. It went OK, not great, not bad, just OK. Some fun bits.
Plus we got paid, and that was good.
After the show I was supposed to travel with comedian Chris Roche to Edinburgh - but he had a bit too much to drink so we stayed the night. He in Lou's tent (erected hastily at 1am) and me in John's. It was quite cool to camp, just wish I'd have prepared for it, I didn't have any pyjamas and no sleeping bag, so Lou lent me one of hers, and i had a jacket for a pillow.
I didn't sleep great if I'm honest, we seemed to be on a tiny slope so I kept waking up with my face against the tent, and the ground was hard and uncomfy.
I'd like to do more camping, but I really need to be prepared physically and mentally.
PLUS I had literally just dyed my hair the night before, so my hair was a mess and I'd forgotten my shampoo! So I pinched some of Lou's shower gel to wash my hair! Sheesh.

So, off I toddled finally to Edinburgh - it was a lot further away than I thought.
While I was in Stockton by the way I heard that the show up there had gone very well indeed :D Which was great news...

Earlier this week I picked up some workshop work... right now I'm regretting it - but then I always do. My confidence and nerves always get the better of me. I've been doing this since I was 18.. but it still happens.
I know I will get there, do a good job, and enjoy it -but there's always that little niggle in the back of my head that says 'this time it will go wrong'... PLUS the annoying thing about this job is I put the company in touch with someone else for when I couldnt' do it, so she may get more work out of it in the future rather than me! But that's life I suppose... hopefully the karma will come back.
My eye is still swollen, but seems to be getting better.
Had a lovely night with John, our 7 month anniversary. Madness. We had some very deep and serious talks, and some very silly ones too of course.
I've just ordered some new business cards NOT from the same place I got them from last time, seeing as they are imboceles. No names. I am tired and nervous and sore, boooo. Looking forward to another night with John after work. Staying at his Friday too, before I go to Edinburgh (via the Stockton Comedy Festival)... blah

Had a lovely night with The Katester and the Dragon... played a bit of Guitar Hero 80's (not as good as I thought it was going to be *sigh*) and then sat and chatted and ate Laffy Taffy... hehe. I also cut John's hair. it's becoming a monthly thing, i love cutting it - i'm really chuffed he lets me :D
I have a sore really eye :( Which is a rather poop. Hopefuly that will get better before I go to Stockton, and then Edinburgh this weekend. Oh got come last minute work for Thursday which is great and will pay for MOST of my lodgings while in the Burgh :D
It's been just over a week since I got back, and it seems like I've never left - like going back a few years - it's all very strange...
