Am actually at work at the moment, finally managed to get on the computers properly... got so much on this week - actually, tell a lie, most of my stressing is about stuff i WON'T be doing! I have had to delegate BIG TIME this week. Chris and Steven are doing a workshop for me this aft, Steven and Steph are on weds and then thursday is the motherload.
I don't doubt any of their ablilities of course cos they all rock! But i'm a control freak so stress i shall...
i need a wee.

Well, a very nice couple of days. A rest I desperately needed it would seem.

Spent Friday lying on the couch watching DVD's - something I've not done for years probably... and I didn't really think of work more than, say, twice... I actually RELAXED! Madness. Watched the Live Mitchell and Webb DVD, Extras Series 2 and all the extras on there, Peep Show, and then some stuff off the TV to top it all off...

Also planned my Radio project, which I enjoyed, seeing as it's a comedy one.

Yesterdays workshop was good fun, then KT and Darryl came over for the 3rd workshop which was great! I miss KT so much! I realised yesterday that KT and I are the oldest players in CSzUK! Once Wareing's back she can join in, but for now it's Just the Two Of Us.

After workshop we went for some food and I had a falafel sandwich which was possibly the hardest to eat thing EVER! And looked a little like poo in a bap.

After that myself, tavner, daisy and derek headed to the Printworks to watch Reno 911 the Movie! Thoroughly enjoyed it. Best way I could describe it was "an exploration into the grotesque", good fun thought. And great to see Chris Tallman and Eric Price in it!!

It's exciting seeing people you know in something like that! Especially when it's filmed miles away! Brilliant!

That was a bit weird... I tried to sign in and it kept saying I didn't exist... I KNOW I exist... booo.
Not much to write really as I didn't do much yesterday except a bit of no brainer work.
I feel even worse about taking the day off though as one of my students aparantly got me a card and everyone signed it!
I decided i HAD to do something for my birthday though and dragged myself out to watch John at the Frog. He was amazing, totally ripped it... I took some pictures... as I do ;)

Happy Birthday to meeeee
Well, not quite. I have had to take the day off as everything has finally just completely got on top of me.. I am ill, tired, fed up, nervous, scared... you name it, my body is currently processing it. So I have taken today, and probably tomorrow just to get over it all and sort myself out.
I even had a lie in til 9.50am this morning! before my brain made me get up and do stuff. I may even go BACK to bed at some point this morning!!
Look at me!

I made a delightful meal last night.
I am buying veg every other day and making sure I eat it before it goes mouldy and dies. Even Butternut Squash people, BUTTERNUT SQUASH! JOhn and I had a lovely lazy night last night, I fell asleep on his lap while we watched some Laurel and Hardy. He woke me up and midnight to give me my present - a fantastic bag and a pillow that actually made my neck not hurt as much this morning!
Keya also got me a bag, so I will have to alternate :D
I was woken at 7.30am to recieve my lovely pressie from the Welch which was a cool glowing thing called 'Chillin' and some simply fabulous beads dahhling.

I got numerous texts from people, which doesn't usually happen, so that was exciting. And I texted my birthday buddy Lorraine to wish her happy birthday too.
I feel bad about taking a day off, I hate taking time off HATE IT! But I know if I don't I will be no use to anyone soon enough. Down side of being self employed and a pt staff member - no sick pay. You have to REALLY need to be off ;)

Anyhoo - I have a few cheques to write and various no brainer business stuff to do, I am all alone as Chris is in Somerset, so I'm going to just relaaaxxx... or at least try to...

28 years old today! WHERE DID MY YOUTH GO?!?!

i spent a large chunk of this morning sorting out the comedysportz website.. check it out :D

Wow what a longgggggg day.
Started off filming the blue screen part of the sitcom... yes. Blue screen. Yes, I've never filmed blue screen before... yes it was long and tedious... and then I got 'shouted' at by a member of staff in the building who probably thought I was a student... blah...
Then Chris came and picked me up and we headed over to Bolton to do the school workshops we are doing there... a couple of new kids there today who seemed rather up for it all, which was good.
So then we headed straight to the SAlford Arts Theatre and set up for our match that evening. Chris and I actually managed to take a few minutes to eat something too - neither of us had had a chance to eat all day.The match was a little stressful at the start, but everyone eased into it and Lou had a fantastic first match :D She didnt' swear or nothin! ;)
Good fun. good friends, good feeling - just sad none of the Chorley lot could be there... that was a little weird. John was a good mister voice, in the wake of all the technical problems...
Now I'm a little wired to be honest, even though all day I've been shattered!
Tavner is here hanging out, so I 'm off to hang
BRONx
Chris emailed me this last night... shame it was after I went to bed. I woke up pretty much every hour for a while stressing, and having nightmares... nothing much is different, nothing really has changed, but for some reason in the last few days I've felt like everything could come crashing down at any second

Go placidly amid the noise and haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexations to the spirit. If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble, it's a real possession in the changing fortunes of time. Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let this not blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantement, it is as perrenial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy

New beginners class for ComedySportz... it's insane... we officially have TOO MUCH interest and not enough space and time!
I am going to have to sort something out or we can't do any more :( There are just too many people.
I took some groovy pictures today with my sexy new camera.
I have been feeling dizzy again all day though and now feel like I've annoyed someone - I don't even really know who - I just have that feeling that I may have done something wrong :(
Am heading over to Johns shortly to do some writing before a nice early night I think, I am shattered, constantly... I seem to be suffering ever since I gave up cheese- of course the two things may just be co-incidental.

Binx has been very playful the last few days too - aww.

Tomorrow I am heading to the house ... i need to pick up the Chocolate Sundae kit that my mum got for Xmas the other year, we have a couple of shots left to do on the sitcom, and that will feature in one of them :D

Is it just me, or does the news in the states piss you off?

I was looking at this clip, to find out more about what was going on, and all I heard/saw was an annoying american woman pestering a bloke who'd been shot!
Granted this guy didn't seem bothered about talking to her, but this was DURING the whole fall out... it just seems greedy!
Does that make sense? Greedy for information.

after such a wonderful weekend it's only natural that my brain has responded by putting me in a foul and miserable mood. yes 'm busy, yes I've got a lot on, yes I've not really had much of a break for a long long time... but last weekend was bliss and now I'm miserable - and nothing much has changed! Which for me just goes to prove how much my brain hates me.
blah
I got a fair amount of work done today/tonight anyway. Got a long day tomorrow which I'm not necessaily looking forward to (just cos it's long and repetitive) and no john tonight :(

OK, just before I head off to work, I thought I'd blog about Durham.

We set off in the morning on Sunday, after seeing John's neices and sister (he is so good with those kids, I love him more every day) again.

We got to Durham about 11am. So we parked up and got out, it was a lovely day. Started walking into the town. John had my card and money from the other day so I asked him just to check he still had it as I didn't have my purse. He then realised he'd come out without his wallet!

BELM!
So this was our view of Durham to begin with.

So we had to wait for his dad to bring it from near Sunderland... hehe. He gave him a well funny look when he dropped it with us.

So then we headed into the town centre.
It reminded me of Oxford. It was picturesque and idylic, and aparantly used in the film Harry Potter the Philosopers stone. You may recognise it - i didn't. Having only seen the film once, ages ago.

Had a lovely wander round.

Went to the Archaeology museum and did some coin rubbings. I tried to rub a huge coin that was on the wall, it was a poster, it didn't work.

When we got outside the cathedral a dog was sat outside. It freaked john out a bit cos it appeared to have no lead and was waiting for someone.
We stared at this dog for a while, and then it moved a bit and we noticed it had a lead.
John said he thought it may have been an evil dog.
Anyhoo - enough talk of dogs when there's a cute cat in the room.
I had better go to work now anyway... long day...

ps - my camera had run out of battery so I had to go back to my phone camera :( booo

Not going to type for too long as the weekend has been long and labourious (and also lovely and happy... but still) so I'm shattered and start back at the Uni tomorrow, as well as doing a workshop and a stand up gig... so I need some sleep.
Went to John's friends Gary and Sue's wedding. It was lovely. I, well both of us, were a bit tired so after the reception we had a nap in order to head back for the evening do.

My lovely new camera was on top form! ;)
Loved meeting Johns parents who were great, and his sister and neices - and I wasn't even scared of the little kids ;)
Today we went to Durham, which was very picturesque, we made coin rubbings at the museum of archeology, and John suggested we get married at the cathedral.
He immediately regretted even jesting that. But I don't forget these things easily... ;)

Will write more when I'm not half dead ;)

Yes, it's been a night of editing and taking random pictures... yay.

But here's one I took earlier today to the left. This project has been really rather good, the kids are excellant. Today was the first day where they got a little hyper and mental - apart from that they've been almost little angels ;)

But anyway, check out my hot hair! I am tired. Going to drive to johns for some late night post gig hugs... and I'll probably take pictures of him too ;)

Night night

HAPPY early BIRTHDAY TO ME!
My camera arrived today - I am MEGA happy!
mmmmmmmm
tasty camera.
Lovely to hold, and makes a very satisfying noise when it takes pictures.
The quality is amazing too!!!
It has made me realise I need to lose weight even more though, I can't take a decent picture unless I'm wayyyy underneath it!
I wanted to go and take pictures of john tonight at his gig, but aparantly it's too high pressure.. and chris has already banned me from taking pictures of him... woe is me :(

Wednesday, April 11, 2007

Oh and Final post of the night... check out the new hair:

and ignore the belly

and yes, I took a picture so those of you who have been asking what my real hair colour was, could see:

Oh! I didnt' tell you about the NIGHT OF WINNINGS! ;)

Monday night John and I went on an impromptu date where we went for a meal, some pool, and a show... while eating the meal I managed to beat him at Connect Four about 5 times (to his zero) then I thrashed him at Pool too ;) mUAHAHAH!

I'm such a lovely girlfriend... that I even took PICTURES of these events...

Anyhoo - sad things today too, my mum is going back to the states... but it'll only be a matter of weeks til I see her again really, so I can cope :D

love you mum x

Camera still hasn't arrived as yet - I am really excited :D
I bought a 400gb harddrive last night too which is now getting full as I type ;)
muahaha.
The project I am doing at the moment is going great. Mum, even though she was on HOLIDAY made the costumes at last minute for it! Bless. Here's a shot (where you can clearly see how podgy my belly has become) of what we were filming today.

A parody of What Not To Wear, tomorrow we do MasterChef and Big Brother - having loads of fun. Tired tonight though - I was up til late last night editing the Most Haunted parody...
To the right us us with a ghost... oooo...

I am one step closer to Weird Al!
Fellow CSzer and distant pal Chris Tallman had lunch with him a few weeks ago!!! Grrrr... oh to be famous and living in LA...
;)

OMG.. I just spent £450 online for a new camera. Probably shoudln't have.
Am excited for it to bemiiiiine!
It's the one I have been eyeing up for a while, and I got it cheaper than I was going to pay for it... feel a bit flushed.
I am still waiting for some pants I won on ebay a month ago!

I woke up this morning with a sore throat still but a desire to go for a jog. So John and I headed over to Chorlton Water Park (which is gorgeous by the way) and did just that... well, kind of... I haven't exercised for a long time now, and I was useless, so we mostly walked.
It was nice though.
There were loads of Canadian Geese there and ducks, and kids with dogs and things. It was just very pleasant.
We then got back and I practiced in John's car, as I will be borrowing it tonight, he has a gig in Chorley. He was very nervous as this was his first new car, and first time ever letting anyone drive a car of his! Aw.
Fingers crossed I wont crash.

Yes it's Bron with her self diagnosis again...
In general I've been feeling really run down - which is one of the reasons I've given up cheese (the main thing in my diet... unless I'm in the states when it's chips). I could easily eat half a slab of cheese a day - and often do in one way or another. I am not a big fan of Egg sandwiches, so I always get cheese.

I gave up chocolate last week, and today was cheese (although I have two chunks left in the fridge but once they're gone that's it).

Was watching a programme where someone was talking about what Iron Deficiancy's symptoms are. I seem to have a few of them - especially the last few. Which would make sense - being a veggie who only eats cheese and not many veg... thing swill change!

Mild iron deficiency anemia may not cause noticeable symptoms. If anemia is severe, symptoms may include:

Weakness, fatigue, or lack of stamina.
Shortness of breath during exercise.
Headache.
Difficulty concentrating.
Irritability.
Dizziness.
Pale skin.
Craving substances that are not food (pica). In particular, a craving for ice can be a sign of iron deficiency anemia.
Other signs may include:

Rapid heartbeat.
Brittle fingernails and toenails.
Cracked lips.
Smooth, sore tongue.

Lovely day with John and the family today. Went to Pizza Hut - on the first day I decided to give up cheese!!!!!!! Gr. I had pasta. My m um tried to have pasta, but put some parmesean on it which turned out to be full of salt (oh those wacky jokesters) and mum ended up with no tea as that was the last bologniese aparantly.

Then John and I went to Pets and Home and I played with the bunnies while he looked at the fish. We then deicded it would be cool to actually buy a fish :D

We decided to call it DooDah and introduce it to its new family - Life and Rex (white and orange ones).

Aw, our first pet ;) We have decided if we ever end up living together that when Binx goes we will get bunnies... and maybe a hamster :D

So, Doodah is happy in his new home, John has gone to the pub, as has Chris, I am tidying the flat and my room especially (needs it - hardly had time to sit in the last couple of months so it's got so messy) so I feel a bit better... although my breathing is awful at the moment for some reason. And my throat is sore - no doubt I am now about to get horribly ill - BOO!

Awww. someone from the workshops just put up a load of pictures from the last beginners one (of the last session)... sweet

Monday, April 02, 2007

Oh what a night... late september... well, no, April the 2nd... yet another one of the longest days ever.

Started early, off to Chorley for the first day of the new project I'm doing for the next couple of weeks... straight after that i was off to Blackpool to plan a workshop for early May, then picked up Ste and headed to the Appollo (stopping in the flat just long enough to have some food and watch neigbours that Chris had taped for me) to watch the Barenaked Ladies!

What a fun night - some great tunes, great company, not so great really tall bloke in front of KT... and if I'm honest it was all a little long - but that's just cos my back was agony having been on my feet ALL DAY!
The support was a comedian called Boothby Grafoe - I've heard of him, I've heard he;s good, he was! Very good! I shall be searching him out.
Anyway... got to plan tomorrow before I go to bed so I shall do that now :D

Death Tally

28 pheasants

7 badgers

4 rabbits

3 misc birds

1 seagull

countless mussells...

Wales.

Anyhoo - had a lovely day off with a lovely man in a lovely place. The sun shone all day (this is WALES people! that never happens ;) ) and we had nice walks.

John bought me a lovely new top for my birthday, and I bought him a day out ;)

I took him to Conwy Castle and Llandudno - all my usual haunts. I tried to get him to go into Britain's smallest house (cos it's John size ;) ) he wasn't impressed and sulked a little. Even the little Welsh lady couldn't tempt him in.

We had pretty 'average' food and went for a walk on the beach. Spent about half an hour just looking in rock pools, something that John used to do a lot in his youth. He used to live right next to the sea in Sunderland, so visiting the sea always takes him back there a little.

Aw.

I spent about a fiver on the amusements! Silly. I usually only waste a couple of quid nowadays... i was annoyed with myself. But then I bought a necklace to make up for it!
Ha - my bank balance suffered for the day though annoyingly (I've had some problems with some expected money not appearing in my account)
Anyway - I'm off to bed now x

Hello lovely readers, and welcome to my birth month. Right now I am in love, totallyin love! See picture...

The project I start tomorrow has bought me the camera I've dreamed of (OK, it's not mine to keep - but I can have it for a few weeks at least...)
mmmmm
Chris took this picture while I was asleep i think ;)

Last night was Joanne's 21st... i think that may be the final end to all the 18th's and 21st I'll be invited to this year now... ;)

John and I both went as Clint Eastwood - to save any chance of anyone else going as him.... there were 3 in total - some other person did... lol

There were 3 Sandy's from Grease, 3 Bat Girls, 2 Fred Flintstones, 2 Wilmas, 1 bloke dressed as a house, 7 Dwarves, and one Britney Spears (see pic).

Was a good night, but a bit too loud so I didnt' get to chat to everyone as much as I'd like. The Hilton was there, which was lovely, she needs to be around more!!

But I took the camera along and made a short video for Jo - which one day I will actually edit (omg I'm so busy)

Despite being mega busy I have allowed myself today off, I am kidnapping the Hobbit and taking him to Wales for the day (OK, so selfishly some of this may help the research I need to do for the work I start on Monday... but whatever ;) )
So, off I go...
Oh, and I will write more about the job thing if it comes off - it's not a massive thing or anything, just don't want to get too excited if it doesn't happen... needless to say if it does I'm well chuffed :D
