*hoping not to jinx anything with this post* but things have looked up since just yesterday!
Since then I have been offered 3 weeks work at the end of summer, and another three hours a week at the Agency starting in a couple of weeks! SO I am pretty much sorted. I pick up my car tomorrow, my loan has gone through no problem. Sorted my insurance, it's not a great deal more. I should be a happy bunny right now, unfortunately my brain doens't work like that. I may be after tomorrow is done, I'm in a school in Yorkshire. Poop. 2 hour drive there and then back again... hope the Corsa makes it, it's playing up big time. Chirs is a bit worried I think cos technically it's his from Saturday. NOte to self - clean it out!
Had a lovely morning with the katester yesterday, although I was shattered. Bought some groovy felt tips from Paperchase and some nice handcream from LUSH then came back to do some more pack sending.

Meeeeeee and the katester.....
Right on with reinking my computer and getting on with more packs I think... am going to start with Primary Schools soon I think :D

Yes it's stupid o'clock, yes I'm awake, no I can't sleep.
Was woken up about 20 minutes ago by some very loud laughter coming from the living room. Was going to just go in and say, 'could you keep it down', which just turned into "Shhhh!" when I got there...went back to bed and coulnd't get back to sleep so I decided to be productive and finish off the last of the CSz packs. I'm cold. And I feel rather sick. Blergh.
I only went to bed about half one. It's just after hald five now. I'm going to be shattered today. I have an early morning every day this week now til Sunday. I'm stupid.
I actually do feel really stupid right now.
AH well.
Kitty doesn't like the lid thing I put on the cat litter tray, hopefully he'll still use it, who knows. I hope he does. Would rather not be cleaning up a load of poop tomorrow, as well as being tired and sick.
He doesn't like being closed in, boxes and all (unless he puts HIMSELF in them) so we'll see if the need to poop becomes so much that he has to go in there... failing that I'll just take it off and the whole world will be able to see all.
Trying to come up with a decent CSz pack for primary schools. Not really sure how to market it, as a play day or something more serious? I don't know.
I spent most of tonight talking to Chris about how crap I feel about myself. Yes, self pity, blah blah.... just going through another stage of that i think. It all came up cos I'm really struggling for work over the summer, something may turn up, but what if it doesn't? Down to Somerfield I think... I have prior "Beep" experience.
I get my new car THIS SATURDAY! And I'm meeting the Katester in a matter of hours in Manchester... so I have some things to look forward to. Once again worried that my life's going to end up in a slump of stress and worry (ha, when's it not) but I don't want to go that way again. Anyway, going to get on with addressing these envelopes.

WE HAVE DOOTS (as Jillio would say)
So they seem to have figured out the litter tray easy enough. Kitty spent the night with Ben, Binx in the living room. They seem like happy kittys.
Just confirmed I will pick my car up this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Got to sort out the insurance and all that palava tonight then. Get that on its way.
Starting to get set up for the next lot of CSz workshops, we have to pay for the venue this time, which is fair enough I suppose, but it seems like a lot...
Anyway.. on with the day

more kitty cat escapades...
Dick Chudnow (Csz founder) sent me this today...

Why Kittens Are Better Than Babies

• Veterinarians have evening hours.

• Your kitten won't be able to disturb the whole movie with its crying. Hell, you don't even have to take the kitten with you, and if you don't, you don't even have to worry about whether or not the sitter is available tonight.

• Your kitten won't grow out of those cute but expensive clothes within three months.

• Kittens look cute if they haven't had a bath in a month.

• You probably don't have to lie awake nights wondering how you're going to finance your kitten's college education.

• No one will accuse you of being an unfit mother if you don't want to breast feed your kitten.

• Dan Quayle can't accuse you of destroying the moral fabric of the country if you aren't married to the father of your kitten. In fact, nobody will ever ask you if you know who the father is.

• No one will question your abilities to function normally at your job when they hear you just got a kitten.

• You only have to change the litter box once a day.
Binx stayed with Chris and I last night and Kitty with Dug apparantly. When I got up at 9am though neither were to be seen... I frantically searched for a while, then decided they can't be anywhere but in the house so I went back to bed for half an hour.
When I got up again I heard a noise and traced BOTH cats to Dugs room! The hoarder! Dug has made some friends there, and possibly an illurgic reaction too. Hmm.
Still no pooping... am worried I'm going to find the spot where they WANT to do that soon... ugh.

Sunday, March 26, 2006

well, it's been an interesting and weirdly emotional day.
Kitty is now sat at my feet while Binx is hanging out with Chris upstairs. Dug and Kitty seem to have bonded though. Kitty has just been a major stress head all day, while Binx has been happy as larry (assuming larry is happy).
They have both eaten, but not done the opposite... so I need to stay up for a bit til they feel the urge I think...
Anyhoo
Bye for now

My kitty cats
I have kitty cats *ting*
Binx is sat at my feet as I type, Kitty is however hidden under a table meowing... deary me...

Lots of fun today.. it was the last workshop and all was nice and good and here are some pictures

It's the last CSz workshop of this 10 weeks, and I get my cats tomorrow... things are going on.

Went to watch Rosencrantz and Gildernstern are Dead tonight at work. Some of the second years had decided to just put on a play, and that was it, and a jolly good job they did too. Took mister hair along as he knew the play of old. Was good to watch it with him as he knew all the little intricacies which would have probably been lost on me.
Am in a high school in Blackpool tomorrow, doing what I would normally do in a Primary School! Not impressed. It's most likely to be a disaster. But I know the teacher so I've briefed her. Blah. We'll see.
Test drove a new Corsa and a Nissan Micra today... as much as I love the Micra design, the Corsa drove much better... and is an automatic ;) Am most likely going to buy that very soon! Got to sort my loan out.. luckily it is going to be much less than I thought, so yay.
Right to bed with me

Oh!
Forgot to tell you all about what happened on the way to Ben's gig last night! We pulled in to get some petrol to see a young fat lad make off with someone's laptop out of their car! Little git. We got a good look at him and left a note for the car driver. About 10 minutes into the journey we realised WE SHOULD HAVE CALLED THE POLICE! What were we thinking???? Stupid stupid stupid. Anyway, we left a number and the guy called us, so we are available to make a statement if he needs us.
Chris is currently getting ready for a gig, Ben is playing loud guitar, and Dug is out.. I'm a bit lost for the night, should probably get on with some more work.
Got a school gig through today though so that cheered me up :D
just a quick note... i have removed the ability to post comments annonymously, this blog is public, yes, but I write it for myself and my friends all over the world to catch up with what I'm doing... when randoms leave nasty messages, making personal jibes etc, I can't be bothered with it. Sooooo, off they go, sorry.

What a fun night!
Tonight we protested a protest! Now, I am one of those 'sitting on the fence' people usually. But when I read the Stop Springer site it infuriated me so much that I got involved with a bunch of mad comics to go ahead and protest the protesters at tonights opening night of Jerry Springer the Opera. We also out numbered them by about 3:1! Which was rather funny. We sang songs, had our photos taken, were interviewed by the TV and generally just had a good laugh - which is a lot about what the show is about! ;) One bloke thought we were the opposition and shouted "What about Freedom of Speech you Dumn F**ks!". As you can see from MY sign (right), he was so ironically wrong. We were stood their for about 20 minutes before the Christians turned up anyway! When they arrived we sang "You're Late and you know you are!"... ;) So we did that for about an hour, the Christians seemed to be settling in for the night however. I think we got our point across. Got back to a lovely smelling flat - my lovely boyfriend had been baking once again! Turns out he can make CAKE! FROM SCRATCH!! Mmmmmmmm good boyfriend, good. He made a gorgeous cake last night which I devoured most of, and tonight he's made chocolate chip butterfly cakes! Woohoo! So I am off to eat them now I think...

On a downer though, it seems I have really messed up my work plans for the summer by once again hitting the states for a stupid amount of time. This is defiantely going to have to be my last year of summer visiting.
This is my 503'rd post on this blog! Phew...
Anyway, just a quick note to say that I have uploaded yet MORE videos onto You Tube! Including a very old Friends Parody from many moons ago, and a Channel 4 Parody which you see below.
I am working this afternoon then going straight to a protest. This is the first protest I've ever been on, so I'm a bit nervous, but I really think it's worth shouting about! We are keeping it a little low key right now, but I'll tell all tonight :D

ps -check out this video too... it's the cutest thing ever!

Oh.. and I forgot to mention...
I called my mechanic and friend of the family today about the whole Broken car/New car thing... and he said I could probably get a MINI!!!!!!! Now..... I'd avoided even looking at minis cos I didn't want to get my hopes up. But he says they're pretty good, he's had no problems with any, and they are about the same size as a Corsa! So.... now I'm looking at minis... hehe... I can get a 2002/3 model in the top end of the ballpark I have to spend... HOWEVER they do all seem to have a stupid amount of miles on them. So I don't know yet. I'm not going to be silly about it anyway, I've done my time with wasting money on cars (especially mini's!). To the left is my gorgeous lovely beautiful mini that I had when i was 18... I spent stupid amounts on it to keep it on the road, and just after I spent another huge wad, it was nicked and trashed... boooooo... long live the mini.

Workshop went great, as usual. Ben did a wonderful job! And fun was had by all. I am absolutely knakkered now. I didn't sleep at all last night really, and then I was up at 6am. Steven wasn't well so he left as soon as the show part was over, so there was just KT, Ben and I with 60 kids at a time! ;) It worked out OK though. I just got up anyway, I went to sleep for a few hours! I set my alarm for neighbours then deicided another 2 hours sleep was called for.
We are still waiting to hear at the moment if we will be playing in the 2006 World Championship for ComedySportz... it's not looking too promising right now. I mean, it's a great thing to go and be involved in anyway, but it would be great. And I suppose if i'm being honest, I kind of expected to play. But, whatever. I just don't want our guys paying a LOT (and I mean a LOT) of money to go and THEN be told we're not playing, so I'm trying to find out before that happens. I just get a sore feeling about this year for some reason.
The venue problem is still getting me down too. Argh!
Anyhoo, Ginger Lamb will be back soon and we're going to have a cosy night in to chill. Yay.

I've not written a poem in years!! But I was challenged earlier so here's my latest:

Raul Plug

Holes, many of them
Dipping and denting
Tales of what came before
really needs cementing
reluctant to cover
but wanting much more
to put on your wall
to cover your sores
glass on the floor
memories all smashed
trying to relate
to things that had passed
failure to stay on there
makes your heart chug
realise all along
you should have used a raul plug.

....for really old poems I wrote check out here http://www.thestarlitecafe.com/ scroll to the bottom and put in poets name B Edge
A productive day AND I got to watch Neighbours... what more can I ask for?
A new car? Still looking.
Sent a load of packs to try and get some more CSz workshops going... we'll see. I am rubbish at phoning up so this is the best I can do. If Chris manages to get down to the days he wants at work I may employ him to do that for me ;)
We are in a High School in Blackpool tomorrow, Ben's first CSz workshop, KT's first in a while... so it should ne interesting... not ideal circumstances, but what's the worst that can happen? We all die on our arses... well it could happen... but we'll see. The games are pretty foolproof really unless we happen to get 120 miserable 11 year olds.
I'm still feeling a bit down at the moment, but nothing too bad. I'll snap out of it soon I hope. I need to get more motivated with work again. I know I have a habit of throwing myself into this and never being seen again, but the bonus for that is a feeling of satisfaction that I've done something with my day, and that I've pushed away my deamons just a little further. Recently I've just been coasting, and yes, dare I say it RELAXING, but this has a price in my world.. once i lose my self motivation and discipline then I'm screwed for a while... so I need to always be on top of it, the last few weeks it's slipped and now I really need to claw it back and stop putting things off.
Even just things like getting a new car! That's going to creep up on me soon I'm sure, especially when Chris gets his MOT'd as it's almost defiantely going to fail.
Anyway. Here's hoping that we get some gigs from those packs.

LIVERPOOL!
What a lovely day in Liverpool... but before that the katester visited and we had cat litter tray buying japes. We went to the Beatles museum and listened to the audio tour. The last time I went through the tour would have been maybe 10 years ago! A lot has changed, for the better. Still a lot of dummies but I'd seen most of them already, and Ben and Dug were on guard as they now know how I react to them. The changes they made to the tour were very good, some really nice pieces including some of Johns specs. The only really disapointing part was the end... where after TWO ROOMS about John Lennon and one on Paul McCartney to commemorate George Harrisons life he got.... a A4 piece of paper in a frame... oh dear... must do better Beatles Story!

Got back after an argument with mister hair, but we've put it right now (one of the few people in the world that I can actively argue with! He seems to just be good at riling me, and me him... anyway), and found that the CSz new venue I was hoping for may not be quite as positive as I was lead to believe! Maybe I read too much into it, I don't know. But now I'm upset and annoyed that I've lost 2 months time when I could have been looking, AND not only that, an ideal venue! Very pee'd off. Glad I didn't buy any icecream the other day now, cos it would be all gone at this point! Grrr!

I was going to dye my hair last night but tidying the living room for the impending cat arrival took precident.
Am worried that they are going to get out and stuff... so I need to set up a cat retaining system of some description.
We have an extra door that if we keep shut it should be OK. The main thing is getting them house tranined... Binx has been a house cat before, but I dont think Kitty has.
We will see.
I have to cram two days of lesson into todays lesson so I am getting a little anxious.

I’ve spent most of this weekend sleeping it feels like. I hate ‘wasting time’ and for me sleeping is exactly that. So I now feel anxious that I’ve wasted my weekend! I have bits and bobs of work I could be doing at all times, but for some reason I’ve just decided to put them out of my mind… to be honest I feel a bit down at the moment… I’ve been achy and sore for over a week now, every time I move my back it clicks and getting up is a pain… which is probably why I’ve been asleep so much.
Anyway, enough moaning.
Back to work tomorrow, that’s what I need, FOCUS! So I’m going to get up early tomorrow and get on with some more ComedySportz stuff.
Chris has begun to plan his trip to the states this summer. Looks like he’s going to meet me in LA and drive to San Jose with me then fly back from LA.
I spent some of today looking at new cars. It looks like it’s between a Volkswagen Polo, a Toyota Yaris, a Renault Megane, a Vauxhall Corsa and possibly a Mini… all only a couple of years old. Gonna spend the next couple of weeks narrowing that down and hopefully I’ll have a new one by April.. just in time to go and pick up Kitty to bring him to Manchester, when he will shit all over my new car…
I really want to bring my couch here but I don’t relish the idea of getting it up the huge stairs and through the gates… plus it looks like we may be moving out in September so I might as well just wait til then.
Oh, I put some more stuff on YouTube… including the Driving Home For Christmas video that got us on national TV!! Result! So check out that.
Off to Liverpool this week for another house day out… Chris is at work again though L boo. The Katester will be joining me Dug and Ben, however.

I think I'm going to try and motivate myself to clean out my computer a bit now.. GO ME!
What a fun night... apart from the last bit where my stomach wrecked! My chest decided to join forces with my stomach and make me feel really rottenby the end of the night.
Went to PoNaNa's in Manchester to celebrate the Welch's birthday! She's as old as me again... it happens every year ;)
OLD!
And she's just put an offer in on a flat! YIkes
OLD!
Times like this just make me think maybe I should be doing things like that, you know, settling down, getting a mortgage, marriage, kids... then I think
OLD!
And I'm rather happy just being me... ;)
Plus... the kids thing is STILL NOT IN THE EQUATION AT ANY POINT MOTHER! READ THIS!!!

What a day...
My boobs are still really sore, I'm actually worried that it may be a chest infection or something cos it winds me a bit when it hurts... I'll give it over the weekend then I'll do something about it.
The primary school was a nightmare... the teachers were nice enough, but most of the kids just evil! Very very tired, was pleased to get out at half two... til my car broke down only a mile into my journey!
Sat in the freezing cold doing a crossword waiting for Green Flag... who towed me back here. Only a couple of days ago did I start looking for a new car as well! So when I got back the ginger lamb tucked me up on the couch and I had a snooze for a few hours. Just had a bath and a curry and am waking up a bit... it's now 10.30pm! Sheesh.
I can hear wrestling everwhere in the house... now we have sky suddenly working again it's hard to escape it... grr
my other wrestling widow, Ben, is gigging tonight, aparantly it's going well...

Thursday, March 09, 2006

We have electricity, and I'm currently enjoying a rather lovely and vigerous back rub from the silent ginger lamb (he has lost his voice bless him). I made him hurt a lot earlier from making him watch Mystery Science Theater 3000. Bless.
I'm in a primary school tomorrow, I'm getting really down about thsi job to be hoenst, if it was CSz it wouldn't be a problem, maybe I'm just too used to being my own boss. But they seem to be actually paying me now so it's OK. I'll go, I'll do it, I'll probably enjoy it when I get there.
The kids are upstairs watching footy, and there's no noise which suggests that Middlesborough (Dug's team) isn't winning... or Sky's fucked again.
I watched the Oklahoma DVD last night to play Spot Dugs Dad... lots of fun.. Ben once again lost, as he did with Little Shop because of his inability to concentrate on anything for more than 24 seconds.
Hey if you go on http://www.youtube.com/user/brontone you can now SEE the scenes I did with my students last month!
Enjoy

Another video I just uploaded. This is from AGES ago... I've just started getting things off VHS and am putting them on DVD... here is Cat Food from about 1999 I think. I have found the original footage too so I am tempted to reedit it! Cos this was pretty crude, even for then, the music audio is dreadful too.
Anyway, my friend Julian plays both parts wonderfully in this.
BLACKPOOL!

Oh what a fun day we had. It was peeing it down big time, but we still managed to have a great day out. We went to the Doctor Who museum (not really updated since the recent resurgence) but we saw lots of costumes and stuff. I was freaked out as soon as we walked through the door as there were two dummies straight away - after that it was pretty much just monsters which I can deal with. Human looking dummies though? And I'm terrified! We took lots of photos even though we were told not to. It was worth the £6 entrance fee just to see Dugs little face light up. THe little tyke. We also had a wander on the beach and got very cold. Bought some tat. Spent a stupid amount of money in the amusements... I've still got it though, I won £2! We then decided to go to the Sea Life Centre... but it was £9.50!! So we decided against that. That wouldn't have even been worth it to see Ben's little face light up. SO fun was had, crap was consumed, money was spent... but not a huge amount so it's all good :D
Enjoy some pictures of the day:
Off to Blackpool today for a day trip... BECAUSE WE CAN!
Me, Ben, Dug and Chris (a different Chris, as the ginger lamb is at work) are heading off shortly. And it's RAINING!!!!!!!!! BOOOOOOOOO.
I will be taking my camera don't worry... so expect high japes.

Today I had work, and I still feel pooey and sore. For those of you who dont wish to read 'womens problems' then skip this post... but bascially I suffer dreadfully from 'the curse', the week leading up is usually agony in one way or another. Most months are different, I get horrible back pain, crippling stomach cramps and sometimes pass out. This month it has manifested itself in my chest. My boobs are so sore that it has actually spread all through my rib cage and into my stomach and back. Couple that with no heat for a couple of days, and general day to day lifting and moving... OUCH!
SO I've been pretty miserable. And sore.
Anyhoo... back to work

POWER CUT!

Hmm. Last night we came back from workshop and the power was out. Dug was in and had figured out that it was fuse box related and managed to get all the wired in appliances to work. So we have a cooker, and lights, and ONE plug socket that is wired in as it's part of the cooker... which is how I'm writing this now... with the help of CSz's extension lead and 2 four ways! Mmmm... dangerous power...
I'd been stressing about yesterday all week, due to a miscommuication with the guy who runs the place last week resulting in some harsh words. So when it was all OK this week I was rather relieved. I am currently trying to convince Chris to make me some sausages! He is not taking the bait... I've offered him some, but he doesn't seem to think that's a good deal.

*Brief scuffle*

Hello, in a Brontone Blogspot first, her Blog has been taken over by a third party. Namely me, the mild mannered and long suffering boyfriend, Chris. This is how the conversation went.

Chris: Sweetheart, would you like some orange juice?
Bron : Yes please. Oh...
Chris: What?
Bron : You know what? You could also make me food while I sit here typing away.
Chris: Bollocks.

Just so you all know. Back to Bron...

*whack*

OK, it was fairly accurate. But I'm cold and have been suffering with a sore chest for the last few days so I don't fancy standing in the kitchen for ages... I do pretty much ALL the washing up here as it is... so blah blah blah...
AND i cleaned the floor!!
Anyway...
Here are some pictures from yesterday...

Dug and Ben in the Trafford Centre, Ben was getting measured for a suit for his sisters wedding. Dug and I have been put under strict orders not to let him get any fatter before then. He's just quit smoking too... so that's going to be hard work me thinks. Dug with a Gillian McKeith book thinking about his material about her for his set. And a couple of pictures from workshop the other day...

Friday, March 03, 2006

wow, I just realised it's March! THe last week has been fraught with shitty moments (and some nice ones of course) that have started to get on top of me, as they tend to do. As Chris says though I am much stronger than I used to be and am mostly managing to not let things get to me in a paralysing way.
At some point I may laugh at at least one of the things that has happened but right now I'm still stressing... but remind me to tell you all what happened at work on Wednesday at some point.

I really wish all the music wasn't copywrited and the like... ahh well.
There is much much more where that all came from.
